Anywho Reverse Phone Look up: Privacy Nightmare or an Innocent Service?
Last century saw more inventions than the whole recorded history of mankind.
It is a popular belief that Information Technology saw the most advancements. But it's not true. In reality the medical community is the one that made the most discoveries. New medication and cures are being produced at a staggering rate. Every month there is a big new announcement being made by the medical community. This is not to say that IT is lagging far behind either. Information technology has seen its fair share of growth also. But some of it is of a debatable nature. A good example of this is reverse telephone number lookup. Before if you wanted to get a name of a person you would need to manually look for the phone number in a telephone book. This would take a regular person several hours at the very least.
What was once a nearly impossible task can now be done in fractions of a second. All you have to do is go to a page such as:www.phonelookup-spy.com, put in the phone number and hit search.
One can find out a lot of things using telephone digits. Information like the first and last name of the user and address is readily available. In the case of cellular phone lookup you might get even more information. For example if the carrier supports this feature you might be able to get the actual location of an individual to whom the number belongs!
You can imagine how useful this reverse telephone number look up can be. You are now able to find the address of a person who has been harassing you over the phone. Running a toll free number check can tell you the name of the company that was calling. Or maybe you just want to send your favourite uncle a Christmas present, but only have his phone number. Unfortunately the bad guys can take advantage of the situation as well. Some maniac can find out where you live if they have your phone number. There are many instances where this can do a substantial amount of harm.
Hopefully a couple of bad apples won't spoil it for everyone. If one bad guy does it, it doesn't mean that the service is bad. I think we should still enjoy the freedom of information.
http://www.phone-lookup-spy.com/514/ is a good example of a site where you can run reverse telephone searches.
